Hi Reader,

How's your April going so far?

Spring is slowly starting to show up here... I can see a few crocuses in my backyard but it's still freezing cold where I am.

I’m impatiently waiting for the weather to warm up just enough so I can finally start planting my spring vegetables outside!

For now, I’m keeping cozy indoors with a new soup recipe and some fresh updates that I’m excited to share with you.

Enjoy your weekend!

Lentil Carrot Soup

This rustic, brothy soup is warm, comforting and comes together in less than an hour. This recipe skips the usual tomato paste and milk so the carrots and lentils can really shine through.

Homemade Porchetta with Salsa Verde

My friend Melissa from Season and Serve has a great recipe for porchetta seasoned with a flavourful mix of garlic, herbs, and spices, then slow-roasted until the skin is crispy and golden.

Jamaican Easter Bun

Jamaican Easter bun is a sweet quick-bread made with stout, warm spices and candied fruit. It is often enjoyed with cheddar cheese, earning it the nickname "bun and cheese."
